What I offer


I carry out research into the lives of people's ancestors both in Australia and overseas using a variety of locally-produced and internet based research tools. Without exception those for whom I have carried out research are amazed by how much information can be gleaned in a very short space of time, especially if their ancestors had arrived in Australia in the nineteenth century.

I can train you in how to carry out your own research. While engaging me to find your ancestors for you is an efficient way of learning about your family's origins, learning the skills to do this for yourself is often much more rewarding! (COURSE A)

If you have already done your research but don't know what to do with it or how to draw it all together, I can assist you. I have many years' experience turning facts and details into narratives to bring alive the people in your past. (COURSE B)

I can also provide you with training in how to navigate your way successfully through the bewildering number of resources available online to those researching their family history. Many sites are extremely useful and accurate; many others are less so. I can show you how to get the 'right' information and how not to fall into the many traps for the novice!

Perhaps you have done your research but do not feel confident in turning the overwhelming amount of information you have amassed into a narrative which other people will understand? I am able to do this for you.
